Many properties require snow to be hauled on site to a snow location while others require snow to be removed from the site entirely to maintain adequate parking in critical areas of the property. Depending on the specifications, hauling is performed during every snow event or after snow piles become excessive. Parking decks and garages are often constructed with snow dump areas to drop accumulated snow from the deck to the ground below to reduce weight on the deck surface and maintain parking availability.
We have the ability and experience to efficiently remove snow either on site or off site. Using a combination of plows, pushers, loaders, and dump trucks – all working in tandem – we can haul snow as quickly as it is plowed and move it to its final destination.
Ensuring safe access to pedestrian walkways, steps, handicap ramps, and building entrances correlates to a reduction of slipand-fall accidents. While many of our competitors shy away from providing sidewalk clearing services, we recognize that such services are essential to a comprehensive maintenance program and have invested heavily in this area. We utilize dedicated sidewalk personnel who have received extensive training, site-specific instructions, and are supervised by an on-site sidewalk captain. We have invested in specialized equipment and machines for sidewalks including walkbehind spreaders, snow caster shovels, and Toro Groundsmaster machines. We apply highly effective de-icing materials on sidewalks, able to melt snow or ice in temperatures as low as -35° Fahrenheit.
De-icing applications are made to melt an accumulation of snow or ice to melt snow or ice and to improve safety and accessibility.
While it has been common in New England states to apply sand to improve traction, we no longer recommend this practice.
We save our customers significant amounts of money by using economically superior products compared to sand.
We offer our customers a variety of choices for materials, including:
Magic Salt™ Calcium Chloride Bulk & Bagged Salt Magnesium Chloride Bulk Sand Salt Mix Calcium Magnesium Acetate
We are committed to protecting our environment and are continually seeking improvements in our process and products. The additions of Magic Salt and Calcium Magnesium Acetate(CMA) to our product line-up are examples of this commitment. Both are safe, non-corrosive, and environmentally friendly. We also make available to our customers Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all products we use.
We understand what it takes to handle the worst New England winters. While the right people and proper equipment are crucial to a successful operation, it begins with advanced planning and management control systems. Prior to the winter season, we visit each property to perform a detailed pre-season inspection, photograph key areas, and begin to lay the foundation for a snow response plan. We then utilize web-based technology to prepare an image of the site, overlaid with information for the placement of snow piles, priority areas, and special instructions.
We ensure that a unique strategy is developed for each property, including the assignment of required equipment, operators, sidewalk personnel, materials, and supervision. This allows all of our team members to arrive on site knowing what needs to be accomplished.
The plowing of snow is typically performed by a combination of equipment, from large loaders with pusher boxes to pickup trucks with smaller plows, depending on the size of the property. Our seasoned operators and drivers are careful to place snow where it belongs, according to the pre-designed plow map, not on islands, fire hydrants, or landscaping.
Rely on us for your snow plowing and removal management needs for your facility for this upcoming winter. We are a landscape architectural design and construction firm that must pay attention to detail in our day to day operations. All of our staff is well experienced and our equipment is meticulously maintained and serviced by our in house mechanics.
